FEATURING THE HEALTHY HAIR BRUSH
The Healthy Hair Brush was created from real salon experience and a deep commitment to improving care for clients experiencing hair loss.
In 2018, while browsing a local beauty supply store, Susan L. Peterkin discovered a detangling brush she quickly began using on her hair loss clients because of its gentle performance. It became a go-to tool until durability became an issue. After repeatedly replacing broken brushes, she began exploring ways to improve the design, especially after discovering it was not patented.
In 2021, Susan began working closely with manufacturers, providing in-salon feedback to refine the brush’s structure. She explored different mold and injection techniques to improve both flexibility and durability, even going as far as testing prototypes by stepping on them to ensure they could withstand real-world salon use.
The result is a thoughtfully engineered detangling brush designed to protect fragile strands while meeting the demands of salon professionals.
As development progressed, similar designs began entering the market. Still, Susan pushed forward, knowing existing options weren’t salon ready. After placing her first production order in 2022, the brushes quickly sold out to both clients and fellow cosmetologists.
Now, the Healthy Hair Brush returns with an even more durable design and is the official brush of PeterKINdred Hair & Scalp Wellness Center and The S.T.R.A.N.D. Network. Trusted by professionals and recommended for those seeking a gentler approach to detangling, especially clients experiencing hair loss.
