S.T.R.A.N.D. SCHOLARSHOP
The S.T.R.A.N.D. Scholarship was created to help make career education accessible for hair care professionals and estheticians who are unable to make the financial commitment tied to an in-person workshop. This scholarship is awarded based on those who we feel are aligned with S.T.R.A.N.D.'s science-forward education and client care first philosophy.
Applicants must submit a written or oral letter detailing why becoming S.T.R.A.N.D. Certified is important to them. If your submission is accepted, you will enter phase two where you will be interviewed by the S.T.R.A.N.D. founders. A total of 20 scholarship recipients will be selected between hair care professionals and estheticians. All scholarship submissions for the S.T.R.A.N.D. Kansas City Hair Loss Workshop must be made prior to 3/24/25.
EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Cost of S.T.R.A.N.D. Workshop admission will be covered for 15 recipients.
VISITING SCHOLARSHIP
Cost of course admission and hotel stay will be covered for 3 recipients.
FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHiP
Cost of admission, hotel stay, and travel accommodations to be covered for 2 recipients.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants will be handpicked by S.T.R.A.N.D. co-founders Susan L. Peterkin and Dr. Kindred through a two-phase interview process open to hair care professionals and estheticians. They will be evaluated based on their client care practices, educational philosophies, and professional potential.

The applicant will submit a letter or video detailing why they seeking to become S.T.R.A.N.D. Certified. In this letter, you will outline you align with S.T.R.A.N.D.'s science-forward methodology, which defines collaborative role between hair care professionals and stylists in combating hair loss.

If the letter is accepted by the review board, the applicant will be asked to attend a digital or in-person interview with the S.T.R.A.N.D founders to discuss business practices, dedication to education, and evaluate professional potential.

Accepted applicants will be contact via email with details of awarded scholarship.
Conditions
This application is for stylists or estheticians seeking to expand their career expertise through science-based education and are dedicated to prioritizing client care. This scholarship is not available to industry educators. Benefits of each scholarship is limited to one (1) person and can only be transferred if approved by S.T.R.A.N.D. founders. Scholarships are for the upcoming S.T.R.A.N.D. Workshop in Kansas City, April 12 - 13, and must be submitted by 3/24/25.
